Which kicker Setup should I go with?

Luckily at my work I get some pretty good Accommodations from Kicker! At the moment I have 2 12 kicker comp's running on a 400.1 kicker amp.

I'm looking for a little more slam so I was looking at getting a 12inch solo l7 in a vented box. But I was undecided on which amp I should go with... I was thinking of just getting the 1500.1, but I figured the 1000.1 should be fine if I'm getting a solo.

I was also considering the dual L5 12 inch ported which would only cost me 60 more dollars, and I'd be getting 2 subs rather than just one. But I didn't know much about how the ohm's work? 2 or 4? I heard 4 is better?

Also where it lists the amps on my accom sheet it says "use 2-ohm sub for max perf" ...

the amp puts out max power @2ohm. i would go with the (2)12L5D2's. wire the coils in series and the subs in parallel for a 2 ohm load and you get 1500 watts. i know the subs are only rated to 600wrms, but you don't have to push the amp all the way. you can get a nuce clean 1200watts out of it that'll bump those 12's.
