OK i am wanting to get the kicker ss series component speakers 6.5 inch(full range). I did some researching and I can get the tweeters seperately and the 6.5 MIDBASS for less than the set.
I am thinking that I will get more bass up front with the mid bass speaker too. They go like 10 hz lower. THe problem is they can only go up to 500 hz. THe tweeters cross over at 2700 hz I believe. That means i will have no response in that range (500-2700) Does the full range 6.5 really go all the way up to 2700 or does that cut out somewhere like 1000 or what? I quess Im just asking it will sound weird having a midbass instead of a full range 6.5? Any ideas?

the midbass is made to be ran with a midrange and tweeter. you cannot just use a midbass and a tweeter. a 6.5 component set uses a midrange.
a popular option is the 6.5" midbass and a 4" component set.
