Going to install a viper alarm/remote start in an '03 H2. Do I need any special adapters? Any vehicle specific tips?

Thanks guys

It's just an over glorified Suburban. You need a 1700G bypass module.

I wonder if it has this in the H2 already. Right now it has a compustar alarm in it and I could change the horn honk lock/unlock through the H2 console setting still. Does that sound right?

No it doesn't. That option is for the stock keyless.

I thought that was strange that the compustar could work and the stock alarm controls still worked at the same time.
I went to DEI's web site and it shows 6 units for my vehicle. I don't need all those do I? Hopefully just the 1700G

1700G is the best one.

I disagree Murph. The Bypasskit XK01 is easier to install, programs just as easy. And their tech support kills DEI (yes I know DEI bought them out, but I still call those guys in Canada because their knowledge is scary good)

Lets look at what the XK01 can't do and shouldn't do.
1. Only covers front doors via data. You have to tape the rear doors at the BCM.
2. Won't shut down RAP without a special firmware update.
3. It relocks the doors at rearm even if they were or already locked. Hell it does it when they are unlock too.

I use them all the time. I miss the 1700G. It was a better piece.
