theres already a factory alarm and somethin' in the key chain the dude at the shop said i was gonna have to buy somethin' else so the new alarm could work with the key $\:confused\:$

i wonder if i could just add a remote start???

You have a chip in the key. The bypass module is ax XK532 and it has to be flashed for your vehicle. Dealer only
You need two keys to program the module to your vehicle. Or lose a key and do the coffin method.

yep, a chip

so i'm assuming its dumb to keep the factory alarm and just get a remote start?

and i couldn't find any info on vipers website about the alarm? $\:\($ $\:confused\:$

If your factory alarm and I use the term loosly will lock and unlock the doors while it's running then a remote start add on is possible. It's a 771XV soon to be replaced with a 5202V.

It's not a real alarm. No shock sensor and no starter kill. hell I bet the horn doesn't trigger when you open the door.

i figured no shock sensor or starter kill, i love the starter kill $\:\($

but yeah, the horn does beep when the door is opened

i've had a viper alarm for almost the last 10 years, i'll probably end up goin' with another one of those
