I have a bunch of Monster Cable XLN Pro interconnects that are 4 CH but I need only 2 CH interconnects for my new install. Because of the amount of money that I paid for these from my previous install, I would like to reuse them. If I was to heat shrink the extra ends and tie them off and just use them as a 2 CH, will this cause any issues with them like inducing noise in to line?

Any advice is helpful...Thanks \:bd\:

you could also use a y-adapter that has 2 female and 1 male end. you would still be able to fade left and right but not back and front. I have not done this but have seen it in diagrams so i can't be sure, though i wouldn't think, that it would cause a problem with the sound reproduction of the amplifier unless they were different signals.
