Whats up, Im new here, but not new to audio. This is my first time building a system for a truck (new tundra dc). So far, the only thing I've decided on is the new Pioneer 800prs. I need some suggestions on high-end products (speakers, amps, subs, etc.) you guys thinks would sound awesome from inside the tundra. and please list everything, my preference doesnt matter right now. thanks.

what price range is "high-end" to you? Can you spend a $5k-6k on the whole system?
I can suggest McIntosh or Genesis amplifiers but if you can't spend a couple grand on amps then it's not useful advice.
give us a rough budget and we can start tossing brands at you.

there is no budget. the top priority is overall sound. but if you know of products that perform similarly at $500 as apposed to $1000 that would help. performance first, throw price out of the window. thanks for your time and help.

there is always a budget.
also - installation is 80% of how good it will sound. don't skimp on the install - pay a professional if you are not fully competent and experienced at building a quality system. no sense in making an investment in gear that isn't being fully utilized.
if you want examples of good manufacturers - look at the Team SoundDomain rides here. the brands/models they use are very good and will give outstanding results, if properly applied. they spend hundreds of hours on the install and more than that tuning them. for a true "high end" system the cost of the installation can rival or surpass the cost of the equipment.
If i had the funds to go all out I would look at either Genesis, Zapco, Audison, or McIntosh for amplification.
Speakers would be 3-way with midbass in the floor, mid and tweeter in pods either in the kicks or apillar (depending on the vehicle). I would try Dynaudio, Hybrid, and Focal.
Head unit would depend on my expectations. Probably DVD capable but with a separate screen (not built-in). McIntosh has a nice simple SQ unit. I also like Alpine, but not sure about their newer stuff.
For a processor, that would depend on what is available. Audison has a slick unit coming out soon. Alpine has some good ones as well - either F#1 or standard H701.
obviously, there are other great brands available, but that's my list. i personally would plan on a $1k-1.5k per amp. at least a grand for my front stage. subs would depend on the vehicle - i'd like to have two sub setups, one for SQ and one for getting loud - that combination could run a grand easy. i would plan on $2k for installation if self performed, probably $4-5k for it professionally done because I can't weld and don't use fiberglass (yet).

additionally; plan on two full layers of sound deadening - second skin or dynamat extreme are good. you can do a midbass in the door, but the floor is best.
you could put a sub or two in a modified center console - those are HUGE in a new tundra. amps could go under the seats for a stealth install.
