What can I say, I really like it. From this forum, Andy Jones and Ben Vollmer have heard it. Maybe they can comment.

The truck sounds very good. I was very impressed. All aspects are very good. When I heard it they had just made a pretty big change to the vehicle and I would assume had to retune it completely, and it still sounded very good.
I'm not sure I answered your PM on the other forum, but if I didn't, my power supply is a 75 amp. It has always been more than enough for me.

cool, did you use the metal adhesive backed plate w/ the gps antenna for a ground plane? (i've done with and without). also, it looks like you zig-zagged the slack in your gps wire, instead of coiling it up in a circle. i do this on gps, sat radio, and alarm antennas.

Glad you liked it Andy. As always it was an honor hanging out with you at Tulsa. Thanks for answering my question.

Just used double sided tape. It seems to work just fine. Should there be problems with the zig-zagging of the cable?
Jorge.

Very nice, very clean!
btw- since you just put the nav box in, if you have not already done this get yourself a KCE-900E to get your voice prompts back.
Counting amp channels, I'm guessing you have some other speakers for Dolby & dts usage?

I really don't get how Alpine couldn't make the P1 to fully work with the W505. I don't plan on spending money to fix that. If I select Nav as a source I get the voice prompts. So when I'm really lost I'll stop listening to music. LOL. As far as channels go, no more speakers, no DTS, no 5.1. Amps channels are distribuited like this:
Left 300/4: Bridged. Left L1 getting 150 watts at 8 ohms. Left L4 getting 150 watts at 4 ohms. Left 300/2: Bridged: Left L8 getting 300 watts at 4 ohms. Right 300/4: Bridged. Right L1 getting 150 watts at 8 ohms. Right L4 getting 150 watts at 4 ohms. Right 300/2: Bridged. Right L8 getting 300 watts at 4 ohms. Upper Center 500/1: 500 watts to both 12w6v2's. Lower Center 500/1: Just the chasis covering the power distro blocks.
Jorge.

Gotcha! Bridged the /4's to get max power at 8ohms. Canny move!
It's not a fault of the P1, and predates it; for whatever reason when you add a processor into the loop you have to do that piece to keep voice prompts. Now, WHY it works that way...you got me on that one!

Jorge--any way to run some wires out of the fake amp into the amp rack so that it looks identical to the other amps?

The thing I dont understand is that bluetoot works just fine. It lowers the volume of the music when you get a call and raises it when it's over, no matter what source you are using. So why cant it be the same with voice prompts?
Jorge.

Already ordered the female RCA connectors to do it.

The BT adapter works different than the nav. Dunno why; just know it's always been that way with a nav and a proc; you had to jump through hoops to get voice prompts. When they introduced the 'H900, they also introduced the KCE-H900. You've needed it ever since; I guess they haven't changed the base protocol for processors. BT is pretty new, only a few years/HU generations old. Currently, it goes through the "fullspeed" bus (as opposed to the AiNet bus, like most pieces...and then Nav has it's OWN connection... ) so it can work with a proc.

no, you've done it correctly. avoid coiling it in tight circles (this can affect reception and range)
