That's not really uncommon. I've had the same issues before. Find the frequency that's pulling using the RTA, and balance it on real music, or the narator. I've always had to tweak things like that. I suspect it's because of reflections and phase issues that come up when you combine frequencies. The Filtered Pink Noise does not have enough combined frequencies to show those problems. It just helps get you real close. Reflections can make you eq things that didn't need to be touched. I learned that one the hard way.
Then again, you may just have really bad hearing.

i did 3 runs with the pink noise last night, and things are pretty much aligned. i have a little bit of pulling, but not much at all. i think my image is still a bit big, but nothing like what you're talking about, scott.
sure it's not hardware issues?
if your crappy zapco gear hasn't overheated then i'm going to go with it being your hearing.

The filtered pink noise is just a good reference. Keep that in mind. Many times after using the filtered pink noise I liked the previous setting better.
