so a buddy of mine who works at circuit city gave me some plastic grommets for my power wire and he wanted me to use this caulking stuff around it \:confused\:

*shrugs*


somethin' tells me this isn't the right thing to do??? \:confused\:



i need it for my 4g and 8g power wires

i generally run my wire through an existing grommet but couldn't find one in this truck, i sorta see one with a cable i might try to use

it's a pressfit grommet?

as long as the wire isn't rubbing metal it should be fine. use lots of silicone to make it watertight protect it better.

i believe you use these for running your power wire through the fire wall so the sharp metal edge do not cut threw the isolation of the wire those little grommets that come with the kits from places like wallmarts are the incorrect ones to use any ways here is the correct one to use
