Eclipse 2 front preamp Lft&Rt rca's out question

Hi All,
My car has an Eclipse CD3422 that has the regular harness outputs for the speakers, but it also has two preamp terminals (not used) labeled front left and front right.
What are these for and should I use them and if so how?
I also have a Pioneer DEH-P4300 but my thoughts are that the Eclipse is better; is it? The pioneer is a 50Wx4 and has a range of 35-15kHz. The Eclipse is 45W?x4, has a range of 20-20kHz and has a plethora of wires hanging off the back like the RCA FL and FR outs and a sub out.

those RCA outputs are for an external amplifier. you won't use them until you add an amplifier to your system.
I would run the Eclipse over the Pioneer. Something to consider are features that you want.

Thanks. It hit me later that day that pre-amp must be just that, plugs that go before an amp. Thanks again.

I have another Q 4 U.
I also have a dbl din Toyota factory CD player like the ones going on Ebay for $150 or higher. Is the Eclipse still the best to use?
