you will need to build a baffle to bring them out a bit. The stock speakers are pretty shallow. or you can attach some weatherstripping foam to the included mounting bracket like I did. A baffle can offer better performance if done right, I will be changing to a baffle soon.
do you want Kappa components or coaxial? I recommend components, you can use the factory tweeter location or find a new location. visit the links in my signature to see what that car look like disassembled - and visit Sound Domain Show-off and Team SoundDomain sections for hundreds of detailed pictures of installations.
Kappa components are 2 7/16" deep. My type X components were 2.78" deep. I had to bring mine out at least 1/2".
The rear will accommodate a standard 6x9 or you can build a baffle for a matching 6.5" speaker.

those should fit but as always you get better sound out of components then you do coax speakers. check out the infinty's at http://www.crutchfield.com and also check out the installation details under out fit my car under the tool bar named car audio on crutchfield.com. it say 6.5 front door tweets in dash and 6x9's rear deck for the 2000 sedan accord with 6 speaker stereo.

I'm about to put new speakers in my '02 coupe. It has 6.5's in the door and 6x9's in the rear deck. I got alpine 6.5 type-r components for the front, but I'm not going to even attempt to us the factory tweet locations because it's so poor acoustically. I haven't decided on a position yet though.

You need to take off the whole panel. From memory there is a screw in the handle, one in the door latch under a cover, and another cover (no screw I don't think) in the area that is exposed when you open the door. Remove those and the rest of the panel is held in with pop clips. You will have to undo 3 or so wire harnesses and release the rod running to the door latch. Take not of how it is attached because you will have to reconnect it later when you put the door back on.

like other have said remove the hole trim pad info for it can be found on auto zones web site use your on line resources to the best of your ability's most of these item's are free also check out the depth extenders i think some one else brought up a issue about the depth like on this page http://www.millionbuy.com/caudio-install-grill.html this way it's neat and clean the best way i have found to remove trim pad is with a tool used for trim pad called a trim removal tool. they sell them at all auto parts store this or you could use a screw driver to mess up paint and so on. oh btw i have been staying away from jbl and infinity components because all they are selling is two ohm versions and most cd players do not like a two ohm loads. this was just meant if your headed this route of buying new stuff.what i find are ok componets are boston acustic's , rock ford fosgate , alpine , polk, and any thing that state it's four ohm. this is were i am having trouble picking mine it's looking like a mutt or mixed breed dog

ground to the car floor - bare steel that is sanded down. where will you put the amp? the trunk floor works just fine.
you'll need to remove the seat to run wires - it takes less than a minute in that car.

which ones?
front seat: four bolts, 10mm, one at each corner. you need to remove the plastic covers first. move the seat up to get the rear bolts, back to get the front bolts. tip back and unplug the harnesses
rear seat: bottom seat just lifts up - it is held in the front with two clips. there is one bolt in the back of the bottom seat - between the middle and drivers side seat - 10mm. sides - one 10mm bolt on the bottom of each side piece, then they lift up to come off. behind each side is a clear opening into the trunk - this is where all of the factory wires go. i routed wires here. you don't need to remove the back seat that folds down, but if you do it's just bolts at the bottom - 10mm.
the link to Sound Domain Show Off in my sig gives plenty of pics of the car taken apart.

Hey KHA... sounds like you've removed the seats more than once!
(I just got mine back in thankfully)
