Hood Icon on Prestige ap2997

I had my alarm installed a long time ago, it is a prestige aps997 and it was installed on an 87 chevy camaro.

They originally didnt install the hood pin the same day becasue they "ran out of time" well I went back the next day and they did it in like 10 minutes. Well now when the hood is opened the alarm goes off and notifys me, but it shows it as the door open and not the hood, how can I get it to where it actually shows the hood open instead of the door?

Ive also noticed other small things, like the remote start will work with the hoed open, when ive read in the manual its not supposed too.

any help would be very much apprecited.

They were lazy and tapped it into the door trigger. Take it back.

Rewire the hood in to the hood input instead of the door trigger.

You will need a diagram for the alarm to find the correct wire. Then remove the brain and switch the hood pin wire to the hood pin input on the alarm.
