I'm looking for advice on a 12" Sub/Amp combo with good SQ.
I have owned a pair of Infinity Perfect 12s and a pair of Adire Audio 12s in the past. But, now I'm not looking for THAT much bass, just something with a little bump and some good SQ.
I'm looking to spend around $400 total, maybe a little less. Any suggestions???

Also looking for a sub that doesn't need that much room in a box. Trunk space is a must.

What about an Alpine mrp-m500 and a single Infinity Perfect 12? Seems like a good combination.
I'll check into Image Dynamics. I have always heard good things about them.

I would vote IDQ D4 with a Cadence SQA-1.

Why a marine audio amp? And why is it so cheap? That seems like an awesome deal.

the words budget, amp and sub should never be in the same conversation together.thats like saying cheap rolex. doesn't work.remember in this hobby, you always get what you pay for.you can chrome a terd and cover it with led lights..but then you still only have a lit up chrome terd.bottom line, go with a company that invested their money in the internal electronics not the decor.and as far as budget is concerned expact to spend more mone than you want to . just save up more to begin with and save urself the time. it sucks replacing cheap amps and subs, because that money that you already put in will be lost.

[yes] but only if you know what you're doing. a novice will need to drop some coin to get a good sounding system - and pay someone to properly tune it. i've been doing this "on a budget" for 15 years, and i'm still learning how to build a SQ system... and i'm a pretty smart dude.
hell, you can build an awesome old school system "on a budget"
