Some scammer sent me this headunit without a wiring harness, cage, remote nor trim ring instead of what I was supposed to receive and Im thinking I could use it in the future (assuming it works). is it worth buying a wiring harness, cage, and remote for or should I just try and sell it on ebay?

eh, it's not passive (i prefer passive head units). the wiring harness is Alpine's standard white harness. the trim ring you'll have to buy special - ebay has them. the cage is common too. really, it a depends if the features help your system.
