I'm going to be running 2 15' Eclipse sw8152(alums) at 2 ohms with prolly a hifonics 1208d (900watts rms) or a 1608d (1100 watts rms)...but anyways they reccomend a 12 speaker wire does if im going to be running two speakers to a mono amp does that mean I'd run a smaller speaker wire? also should I get a 4 guage power wire?
will this kit work?

for the short run from the amps to those two subs, 14 or even 16 gauge will be fine.
that 4 gauge kit should work. stinger is good wire. be sure to use a grommett when passing the wire through the firewall. also, you might want to look into buying a ground terminal instead of trying to screw down the ring terminal that is included. try and ground somewhere on the trunk floor away from your gas tank. if you do use the ring terminal for the ground, avoid the seatbelt bolts. try and find a different spot. wherever you ground, be sure to sand the area down to shiny metal. after you get the ground secured, hit the area with a shot of primer so you don't have rust down the road.
4 gauge is rated for about 150 amps. look on your amplifier, and add up the fuses on it. if you're under 150, you're fine. if it's more, you might want to think about going up to 1/0.

i think that for 1100 watts 4g is more than enough, however, if you plan on upgrading equipment in the future, then i would go 0g. if you not sure but eventually don't, the 0g will still work, and i always like to be prepared, so i suggest the 0g. as for the speaker wire, i used 8g, but that's in applications in excess of 6000watts. 12g for 500watts a piece is more than enough and is alot easier to upgrade in the future than the wires under the hood.
