OK, real newbie question here! Every piece of documentation I read lists the White/Red wire at the driver's kick panel as the (+) truck pop. I've tested it at both the molex plug and at the run of wire going to the truck and I swear it's a (-) pulse system. Here is what I did:

1.) connect black DMM lead to ground
2.) connect red DMM lead to white/red wire
3.) pop truck via remote

--> my reading goes to a solid O volts everytime!

Anyone else familiar with Hondas that might attest to this discrepancy in some systems? Thanks!

It will only test when you press open on the remote. It's a manual release in the car.

Thanks for the response Murph. I did test it using the remote. It's baffling me but I'll give it another try later when I get home from work \:\)

OK. Went back to testing and verified it is a positive trunk wire \:\) I think what was happening was the voltage went to 12v so briefly--followed by a true ground--and my DMM wasn't quick enough to respond. But after several more tests I was able to spot the momentary spike in voltage.

(All the more reason to own the right tools for the job and skimp on them!)

Thanks for the continued help Murph.
