same comment. get it neatened up, secured, and protected. did you secure the amp and sub box to the trunk floor with screws and brackets?

i'm hoping to have 2 amp racks built real soon for the component and subwoofer amps. But, no, everything is pretty much loose back there in the trunk.

temporarily hold it to the carpet with a couple loops of duct tape. That should keep everything from sliding and prevent the risk of shorting out until the install gets further along. Duct tape holds surprisingly well against the interior carpet.
Good start.

looks good, but you still want to seal up all of the holes. some MDF with self tapping screws will do it nicely. wrap the MDF with deadener as well.

Painted MDF..... Straight MDF will get wet and swell. I used sheets of ABS plastic.

yea, sorry, i left that out. i always paint the wood i'm using if it's not coated in resin. i assumed waterproofing was implied, my bad.
