starting a new project for a dual 12 sealed off enclosure that fires into the back seats and i will post pics when i get it started, but for now i only have one type r running. I have two type r's but it will have to wait
until the new box is built. It shall be times of headaches for sure, can't wait.

same comment. get it neatened up, secured, and protected. did you secure the amp and sub box to the trunk floor with screws and brackets?

i'm hoping to have 2 amp racks built real soon for the component and subwoofer amps. But, no, everything is pretty much loose back there in the trunk.

temporarily hold it to the carpet with a couple loops of duct tape. That should keep everything from sliding and prevent the risk of shorting out until the install gets further along. Duct tape holds surprisingly well against the interior carpet.

Good start.

also, you can secure the amp pretty easily with screws to the spare tire cover (JUST LOOK BEFORE YOU SCREW! \:\) ).

I have a question. If that wire coming out of your battery is for the amplifier, then where are the wires to power the vehicle? Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough...?

the stock wiring most likely runs under the red plastic terminal protector.

looks good, but you still want to seal up all of the holes. some MDF with self tapping screws will do it nicely. wrap the MDF with deadener as well.

Painted MDF..... Straight MDF will get wet and swell. I used sheets of ABS plastic.
