The guys over at FloridaSPL have put together this awesome video on how to properly dampen a vehicle to get the most from your audio equipment. They apply Second Skin to the cabin and trunk of a 2004 Toyota Corolla, using Damplifier Pro in the trunk and interior panels, and Luxury Liner Pro on the floorboards. FloridaSPL wraps up the video by taking us on a test drive to show us the difference the sound deadening made using a TermLab RTA that graphs the interior noise levels of the Corolla both before and after then project was completed. Great video!

Check It Out!

man this video is great. I know from experience the benefits of sound deadening. My Rodeo sounded like a tin can until I did the floor from front to back. I never thought of using the RTA before and after to see a difference.

Yeah, I want to find somebody that has a stock GTI around here and take it for a spin with an RTA running and then take mine out (once it's put back together) and see what kind of difference it makes.
