I'm looking for a single sub setup, 1 12" or 1 15"

Something in the 500w-750w rms for $250 or less.

I listen to metal/alt. rock and will build my own box for and will be running it off the factory stereo for now due to the $200 in harnesses it will take to retain my OnStar and wheel controls. I'll pick an amp once I find a sub. So far I've been looking at the L7 but wouldn't mind getting into something less mainstream with good performance.

My last setup from about 3 years ago was a JL 12W7 powered by a JL 1000/1 which i later downgraded to a 500/1, I loved it but I picked it up used from a friend and I'm not looking to pay for the name.

I've also been looking at at the fi SSD 15. they don't list a sealed box size, is this sub not recommended for a sealed box? I don't think a ported box would be good for the type of music I listen to. Would I be better off with a SSD or a smaller Q?

Thanks for the help
