OK, finally getting ready to install a Viper 5900. After reading everything I can I see it has 4 zones:
- Zone 1: Hood pin switch & brake signal
- Zone 2: Shock Sensor [multiplex]
- Zone 3: Door Trigger (& I'm adding trunk trigger here)
- Zone 4: Additional Trigger [multiplex]
OK, I'm also adding two additional sensors--a glass break sensor and a digital tilt sensor--now. In the future I might add a proximity sensor as well. I believe the latter of the three is the only multiplex sensor. So, should I save the Zone 4 input for when (if) I add a proximity sensor and then connect the other 2 sensors all to Zone 2? Or, is there a more standardized way to select what sensor goes to what zone?
