Hey everyone! I just put a Pioneer Premiere CD Player in my girlfriend's Chevrolet Camaro. After installing it, everything worked great except there is a fuzzy or static-e noise coming through the speakers when I turn it on. How can I fix this? Thanks for your help!

Likely something with grounding or a short (one of the wire covers might be punctured). You should try testing with a DMM. Test the voltage at the HU, the OHMs on the power wires, and the OHMs on the wires going to each speaker. OHMs readings close to 0.0 on the speaker wires signify a short while poorly grounded power wires will show very low OHMs.

Also check each location where the wires from HU, amps, or even your battery are grounded. They should be metal on metal with a solid conductor (like a bolt) allowing the best contact.

If that doesn't find anything post back and maybe someone else will have a better way to assess.

Edit Reason: Grounding
