I bought 2 12" sunvisor monitors off ebay to put in my 08 silverado. My trucks visors don't have mirrors with the vanity lights but i was wondering if the 12v power wires are still there just not hooked up to anything and if i could use these wires with a switch for my monitors? The wires out of the monitors already have inline fuses.

[no] that truck isn't prewired. Anyway, they mirror lights aren't high amp enough to handle a monitor. You'll need to run your own power wires, be sure to fuse them at the source (this should be direct from the battery with a fuse within 12")
