I'm wondering if anyone can explain the difference to me between these modules. (HELP) Both are apparently programmable bypass units that will work with my '02 Honda Accord and not permanently sacrifice a key. If that's true, what's the difference?
(The install will be a Viper 5900)
Thanks

Well the XK05 requires programing with a XK loader. The 556H is ready to go out of the box.

Murph to the rescue again! Thanks man, I really mean that.
Hmmm that may cause a real problem. I certainly can't buy a "XK loader" and I'm not sure the vendor would send it programmed or not. Probably not for the price. Good info indeed.

There's always something coming up....
"Actually the item DIRECTED ELECTRONICS 556H Honda/Acura Immobilizer Bypass for Remote Start you ordered is a discontinued model and we do not carry it anymore."
I canceled the order obviously. I know, I know, the easy thing is to go to a dealer for the install!

Do you know if the 556H is compatible with an 06 Honda Accord EX?
Hondaspeedx, have you installed it? How did it work for you?
Thanks

I'm not sure about the compatibility but can try to find out. I haven't installed it yet. I just got 2 parts of my 4 part order. With any luck it'll be an alarm install weekend! Getting kinda nervous... hahaha. I'll let you know how it works once I install it.

Do you know if the 556H is compatible with an 06 Honda Accord EX?
I just received mine and consulted the manual. According to the manual it does not appear to be compatible with the 06 Accord.
However, according to the12volt.com, I found the following:
DEI/DesignTech Immobilizer Bypasses, Door Lock/Alarm Interfaces
Vehicle Module Type Model Number Notes 2006 Honda Accord Immobilizer Bypass/Transponder 1100F DEI 1100X DEI Alternate 556HW DEI Alternate 556UW DEI Alternate 20402 DesignTech 29402 DesignTech Alternate
This appears like it may work (perhaps the manual was printed prior to '06). But please wait for more feedback as I don't want to mislead you.
