Hey guys,
Im curious if anyone here has an sq system and can enlighten me on the best placement for speakers such as a 2 way component set?
Ive seen a lot of vehicles use the door for midrange or A-pilars for tweeters, as well as door-midbass, kick-midrange, and sail panel-tweeter.
Now ive just installed my first set of components, and the only place ive tried that sounded right for the tweeter with midrange in the doors was right next to it in the door...
i was curious what others have done with a similar vehicle to mine (1996 chev. blazer) to achieve good sq? what works what doesn't? i dont want to fabricate kick panels if i don't have to, but will try to learn how if performance is worth it.
also, im thinking of implementing another component set with 6.5 midranges in the dash slightly tilted, facing the dome light, and the 2 sets of tweeters in the a-pilar...good idea? or bad?
any help at all as far as imaging goes would be greatly appreciated, im new to this...
I realize that to get out there and move things around is what i need to do, and have done so to a point, but cant quite get what im looking for, so im hoping for suggestions of working setups that i can maybe try.
thanks guys!

Are you looking for a one seat or two seat imaging vehicle?

You need pathlengths. The only way to get imaging is pathlengths.
So take a tape measure and start measuring. Door location, kickpanel location dash location, apillar location. Let us know the numbers

I take measurements from where my ears are to the postitions you mentioned above? in a straight line? or paths around obstacles? (like my leg)

Measure direct from the location to the center of where your head would be at both seats. So you will have two sets of measurements. One for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side.
