actually, it works very well in a hatchback. It loads the sub and gives the bass wave more length to expand. Bass is also theoretically non-directional which means you technically shouldn't be able to tell where the sound is coming from (localizing). However, "cone noise" is sometimes apparent in a car because of the close proximity to the woofer (in a hatchback), and facing it to the rear can also reduce your ability of localizing the cone movement.

Lot's of progress in your golf! Is this the City Golf? I noticed your headlights look a bit different from any US Golfs. Keep us updated and welcome to SoundDomain.

Hi, I'll try to answer your questions.

Is there a reason you keep facing your high end to the back? It doesn't seem as though it would help your sound at all facing the trunk.

But, I just used it sometimes. Then i started to think, where do I really listen my system, well, inside the car.
Then I brought all the system to be listen inside the car.

My problems: sound stage and environment.

Using a simple 2-way kit, the sound was a little slim. Then i changed the tweeter to a full-range. At this time I got a better and higher sound stage, and more enviroment inside the car.

Some people ask me why i don't use tweeters, I'll try again soon, but i don't miss them, my full-range plays from 115Hz to 8KHz.

Here in Brazil, we usually install a big stereo system in the trunk, but we are changing \:D

Sorry about my english, If i missed something or you didn't understand, please tell me!

Hi ppl...

Just to update... I got my new Amp, MTX 895, and I'm using a MTX T81044A (400wRMS).

The amp and sub are just great!

I'll sell my avionixx 600.4.
