New questions on stereos and suggestions

Hi guys i have been around this site for quite awhile and i am looking for tips for what i shoudl buy for a stereo. Here are a few basic details.

I have a 4 door 2008 pontiac g6. Loaded sunroof etc,minus leather.

I want a deck, subs and amp??

I use to be a fan of kicker l7's back in the day and i see they run fairly cheap on ebay. Can i be realistic and get a decent stereo for $900-1000,. Thoughts would be appreciated guys and suggestions.

I've traveled across canada from victoria to quebec city. Didn't make out out to the eastern provinces.

I can see the canadian border from my window as I type this.
