I just bought a Pioneer avh-P4000dvd HU and I can't seem to find in the manual which sirius "brain" I need for it. On the pioneer website there are two different ones, but neither specify my HU model on it. At first I thought maybe they haven't made the correct one for my HU yet but then again the Ipod connector doesn't specify my model # but works perfect with it.

So for the people who already have this HU wjhich sirius box did you get?

Sirius just switched to a two piece system. You need a Pioneer adapter and a Sirius universal tuner. I prefer the older tuner from Directed Electronics. It's an easier install. SIR-PNR1

Right now I am using one of sirius' players, which I like because I can rewind, pause, and fast forward. will that work with my new HU if I just plug it in through the front Aux port?

or is there a plug in the back where i can hide the cord?

trying to prevent having to spend more $ for the sirius when I already have this other player.

heres a link to show what I already have:

If you already have a plug and play tuner you could run it into one of the aux inputs but you won't have an on screen display.
