So heres the link to the original thread. Thread. Apparently this guy stole the real Ripskips name and passed on all of his pics as his own. Notice how he has an underscore after his name (ripskip_) Here's the original thread Original
As some of you probably know I've been saving my money up for a new system. All of the sudden this guy comes along and has exactly what I need. He offers a really good price for the amp so naturally I take it...but I'm catious. I ask for references, and he delivers. That combined with the fact that his name matches the pictures seems pretty solid right? So I send him the money and he even confirms it's been recieved and then says He'll ship out ASAP. Well its been almost a week now and he hasn't even responded to my last 2 messages.
So now I'm out $250 and have a sub sitting at my house with no amp to hook it all up too. I'm pissed, yet at the same time depressed that people actually do this. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah file a claim, if he can't prove he shipped to your confirmed address, you will get your money back, but it can take up to 30 days while they "investigate" the transaction. Basically you're safe regardless, just takes time... I received payment for an amp from a friend of a friend of a guy (yeah, I know, should have stopped there) got ready to ship it out and the transaction was marked unauthorized, the money was instantly deducted from my account (leaving me at a negative) and the funds were placed on hold. That was 2 weeks ago and the money has finally "cleared" and gone back to the guy who sent it to me. Good thing I have the money going back into my account and I hadn't spent it yet.

File a claim, but do it quickly. For future reference, never buy from somebody with a low post count.

Yeah so I filed a claim and the basically said since they couldn't "retrieve the funds from the seller" that I'm screwed.
I sent them an email back though and now their going to take another 30 f'n days to investigate......awesome
