Looking to upgrade a stock system in a 26ft closed bow cat type hull boat.
Currently has a decent Sony head unit w/ipod interface & 6 5.25 co axle spkr's. I want to add to sub's most likely 10's (i listen to rock, top 40 some hip-hop) 12's tend to roll too much for me but willing to hear your thoughts. I need a amp Mono D class...I have ruled out the PDX line. looking at Memphis, JL, Almani? etc any recommendations I'm trying to stay under a Grand $1000.00

are you looking for a system already put together.
a used one on craigslist if that's the route you want

Alpine or JL's marine lines are very nice. as for speker size, only you can really decide that. think about where you would want to put the sub, and see what will fit.

stay away from the cheaper stuff. due to the harsh environments of a boat, you need to have components that are up to the task. while i suggested Alpine or JL, i would personally use Alpine.

i would alaoo use alpine, keep hope alive found this sweet alpine booat. ill find id for you.
i was just listing teh cheaper stuff, and was not suggesting it.. lol

actually i would recommend clairion sub and amp. thats what i have in my boat. They have been spashed and they still work as if they were brand new. Got them 2 years ago.
