you cannot properly install a system without a good remote turn on. if he doesn't want the factory radio removed for a half hour he doesn't want a sound system.
only bypass to this is ghetto (especially for a almost new car) - a switch at the dash. turn the switch on last and off first every time. you can give it power from ignition instead of battery so they will always be off when the car is off. if the amps are left on (even with no music) they will drain the battery.
take the car to a professional installer if your "client" doesn't have enough confidence in you to pull a factory radio. i can't see how he would prefer you jerry-rig the stereo.

lol my friend has confidence in me... its just his dad doesnt want anything really taken apart... i think i found what im going to do. i found a fuse tap... i think it will work well. i get to run the wire under the car and everything bc his dad doesnt want a hole in the firewall. but im going to take my time and do a clean job and impress his dad. thanks for the input, i appreciate it.

sorry, his dad is a dipshit and is making the installation less safe. make sure you protect all wires under the car and secure them well. also, you MUST provide a switch for the remote (controlled as i mentioned above). just wiring it to a fuse tap will result in a turn off and/or turn on thump which will damage the speakers and possibly drain the battery (depending on which fuse you tap).
you should refuse to do the work, you aren't impressing anyone with any knowledge or background. you will not impress him when it thumps, hums, and makes noise.

i'm not trying to be harsh, but his dad obviously doesn't understand how a car audio system is supposed to be installed and function. it's not uncommon for people to be nervous about pulling dash pieces off of a car, but seriously, they have screws for a reason...

i deffinately understand you guys, dont get me wrong. but i cant just tell him no. he doesnt have the money for it. and his dad wants it to be able to be uninstalled when he goes away for college. and i will make sure that i put something over the wire or ill run it where it will be protected.

Ive done the dash switch since I had my first kid (have 4 now). You can get great switches that look as if they were part of the factory dash pannel. Exspecialy mid 90's cars that have no fog lights but had the factory option. I had a 95 Grand AM that I found the fog switch from a pull apart place, sanded the white fog light icon and then had a friend airbrush a small sub basket on it.
