Good budget system wanted

Let me start off by saying I am kind of new to this. I know what I want in sound but I have no idea as to what to put in my car that will give me good sound. I don’t want to end up running out to Walmart buying a bunch of stuff that I’ll end up replacing soon after. All because I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. So I come here in hopes that I will find some good advice on buying some good parts. Below you will find what it is that I’m looking for in a system. I have a friend that can install everything for me, but I would really like you guys advise on what to buy. I’m more a sound quality guy. I listen to mostly rap music. Car type is a mid sized sedan and I have a 500-600 without shipping budget.

Sub(s)
What I want in a sub(s) is something that will give me clean and powerful base. The number of subs doesn’t matter to me. One or two, size doesn’t matter. What I’m looking for is clean powerful base. I’m not trying to set off any car alarms

Head Unit
I have an Ipod so I would like a head unit that has Ipod control built into the deck. I would like to be able to control the Ipod with the unit’s remote.

Speakers
I would really like to have a good set of component speakers. I hear that you get better sound with 2 good component speakers then having two sets of normal speakers.
Box
Ported or sealed. Not to sure on this one. I guess which ever kind is best for rap music. I’m no good at working with tools so I guess you can throw making your own out the window lol
Amp
I comments here, I’ll let you guys find a good one
Component Amp
Same as above.

Search for 'budget' there have been some good $500-800 budget threads in the last 6 months.

sup i got 4x pioneer 12 400watts rms each 1000max each... i got a pioneer 4 hannel amp thats 1200 watts and a rockford 2 channel amp thats 50x2 RMS @ 4 Oms , 100x2 Rms @ 2oms and around 350 watts Bridged @ 4 Ohm... gives good SQ & thump.. right now im just using 1 sun n the rockford amp on a sub and the pioneer on door speakers... they are also for sle u can email me if u intreasted... kinda selin for cheap kuzzima buy rockford 4000watt amp with 15 pioneer sub they just came out with... my email is Liljay904@yahoo.com i can also take pix if u need
