Using Ipod with Pioneer DEH-P6700MP with Minijack

It has the minijack in the back and I hooked that up with my ipod via Minijack to minijack, but no sound. Is this not possible or something or do I have to use the IP-Bus?

i'm not 100% sure but i think that minijack is for an optional hookup for steering wheel controls or something like that....

is there a gray cable hanging out that is square shaped but one corner is rounded off?

if you have the cable, you can buy the ipod adapter for $35-ish and plug it in

Well I know I can buy the IP-Bus adaptor thing thats like 30 bucks or something. I guess the minijack isnt for aux then. Thanks.

you should have to turn the aux on. turn the radio off, hold function, it should have aux 1 and aux 2. scorll to them and turn them on. you can also get the cdib100ii which is the ipod interface that works with all p-bus radios
