Figured I would post this in hope it will show up in google and save some other Clarion DRZ9255 owner from going through the headache I did.
I have just tried a Brand New working (tested on other clarion units) Clarion SIR-CL1 Sirius Satellite radio tuner on a Clarion DRZ9255 CD-Receiver and they do not work together.
The CE-NET cable presents 12v/ground/turnon to the satellite brain, the brain unit turns on and the 9255 resets itself when it sees a new ce-net bus item is connected. HOWEVER, it just gives up from there. It will not assign the satellite tuner any control within the headunit, only the normal TUNER > CD > AUX1/2.

that link indicates that the cl2 is compatible with 04 and newer clarions that say "sirius ready" on the faceplate. I can't see any indication that the 9255 is sirius ready. The info on clarion's site indicates for the 9255: "CeNET Control of Optional TV Tuner, DVD Changer and 6-Disc CD Changer"
Other models(the 955, for example) indicate "CeNET Control of : DVD Changer, TV tuner, Sirius Satellite Radio Receiver and 6-Disc CD Changer"

Yep, the DRZ9255 does not have satellite control. However, it does have AUX input for plug/play satellite units though.

CeNET Control for CD Changer, TV Tuner, or Sirius Satellite Tuner And then below, it lists "Accessories for the Clarion ProAudio DRZ9255" and the Clarion SIR-CL2 being one of them..... Yep, that would be confusing. If I need confirmed info on a piece, I go to the manufacturer's website, not a retailer's.

The CL1 and CL2 are not the same. I have the CL1 and it came with an ant. I have a Clarion DXZ715 and I can get it to work with thw CL1.

I just found some new info on Clarion CL1 and CL2. According to Clarion, the only difference between the CL-1 and CL-2, is the CL-2 comes with an antenna in the box, the CL-1 does not. Also, some older Clarion radios that say they are Sirius compatible is sort of a misnomer. It is Sirius compatable if you have a DSC-920s controller. The DSC-920s plugs into the head unit via the Ce-Net cable. The DSC-920s plugs into the CL-1 via another Ce-Net cable and the RCA jacks on the front side of the CL-1. The CL-1 gets power through the Ce-Net cable from the DSC-920s. Still with me? It took me 45 minutes to get this info out of a Clarion repair tech. All of the newer Clarion headunits will hook directly to the CL-1 and controll it with out the DSC-920s. I hope this helps someone.
