Hardwired XM with no external tuner

I was just wondering what components i would need to install XM in my convertible without a regular radio to play it through.

It seems like i would need to hardwire the power, hardwire the antennae, run the output into some sort of switch on/volume control, then to the speakers.....

Sound possible?

Im tired of my radio getting ripped off because each time they trash the entire dashboard getting to it. So im thinking just the XM cradle and a switch should get me left alone.

Are they stealing your factory radio? Why not just an OEM AM/FM radio and play through that?

you'll need something to power the speakers and eq them... getting a factory radio in there would be a decent theft deterrent, then you could run your XM through there, like Juan-eye says.
